The lab is located at the University of Helsinki, Biomedicum, Medicum in the Department of Biochemistry and Developmental Biology, starting from September 2020.

Open positions

Motivated students and postdoctoral scientists with an excellent research background, a creative mindset and eagerness to tackle new endeavours are encouraged to apply.

We are interested in understanding how dysfunctional mitochondria are signalling and adapting their metabolism by the use of specialised molecular biology methods in combination with state-of-the-art omics approaches.

If no open position exists, we will aspire joint applications to acquire competitive fellowships.

Finland offers beautiful nature, secure social aspects and repeatedly ranks first on the World Happiness Report.

To apply, please supply a CV and potential references and most importantly your motivation for mitochondrial biology.
